Park Ranger at Glacier Bay

The park rangers hop aboard the ship at Glacier Bay, then hold programs and talks and just mill about, eager to answer questions.  They’re a great resource.

Hubbard Glacier Ice

There was so much ice in the water the second time we went to Hubbard.  We stopped for a long time, far from the glacier.  Then the captain started turning the ship.  I thought, “Oh no, we’re going to leave without really seeing the glacier.”  But no.  He was just positioning.   We headed right into the semi-frozen bay and started breaking the ice with our hull.  It was awesome.
